Mounting and Unmounting
Workspaces
If your system is connected to an Avid Unity
ISIS system, use the Client Manager to mount a
workspace before you begin your work session.
When one or more workspaces are mounted and
the connection to the System Director is subse-
quently lost, a message in the Taskbar indicates
the workspace is unavailable.
The Client Manager then automatically at-
tempts to reestablish the connection with the
System Director. When the connection is suc-
cessfully reestablished, a message in the Taskbar
informs you of the connection state.
To mount Avid Unity ISIS workspaces on your
system:
1 Open the Client Manager (see “Connecting to
the Avid Unity ISIS System” on page 19).
2 In the Menu panel, click Workspaces.
The Workspaces list opens. The Mount button
appears green for workspaces that are already
mounted.
3 In the Workspaces list, select the workspace
you want to mount.
Your Avid Unity user account must have ac-
cess to at least one workspace. For informa-
tion on workspace access, see “Creating Cli-
ent Accounts for Users” in the Avid Unity
ISIS Administration Guide.
