Clearing Agent Event Logs
You can clear the logs in any of the logging categories. This empties the log of all event entries and resets the
logging process.
To clear logs:
1. Open the Agent. (For information on opening the Agent, see “Opening the Avid ISIS Storage Manager Agent”
on page 141
.)
2. Click the Logging tab.
The Logging window opens.
3. Select a log from the “Log to clear” list.
4. Click Clear.
5. Click OK.
The event log is cleared, and logging is reset to start recording new events.
Resetting the Storage Manager Status (ISIS | 2500)
A single Engine Controller in an ISIS | 2500-240 Engine controls two Storage Managers. Use the instructions in this
section if the two Storage Managers are reporting the following status:
•
Hot spare drive is missing
•
Foreign disk
•
Invalid spare drive slot
Correcting the Storage Managers status is a two step process. Perform one procedure on one of the Storage
Managers and the second procedure on the second Storage Manager.
On one of the Agent pages:
1. Open the Storage Manager Agent. (For information on opening the Agent, see “Opening the Avid ISIS
Storage Manager Agent” on page 141
.)
2. Click the Advance tab.
The Advance window opens.
3. Select “Clear Foreign Config” from the “Disk Tools” list.
4. Type the administrator password in the Password text box (default is se-admin) and click Clear.
On the second Agent page:
1. Open the Storage Manager Agent. (For information on opening the Agent, see “Opening the Avid ISIS
Storage Manager Agent” on page 141
.)
2. Click the Advance tab.
The Advance window opens.
3. Select “Storage Mgr Rescan” from the “RAID Tools” list.
The result of the Storage Manager rescan is displayed.
The Storage Manager status configuration is now corrected.
