A Avid ISIS Storage Manager Agent
You can view detailed information about all Storage Managers connected to the shared storage network by using
Avid ISIS Agents. The Agents run as a Web service on the Storage Managers, and can be accessed during normal
system operations from the ISIS Management Console.

You must have Administrator privileges to access the Agents.
Opening the Avid ISIS Storage Manager Agent
The Avid ISIS Storage Manager Agent runs within a web browser window. You can open the Agent pages from
either the Management Console or the ISIS Launch Pad.
The following are the default Agent passwords. For more information about changing the Agent Administrator
password, see
“Changing the Agent Administrator Password (ISIS | 5500 and 2000 only)” on page 149.
ISIS | 5500 Agent page password is: — is-admin
ISIS | 7500 and ISIS | 2500 Agent page password is: — se-admin

On any ISIS system, you can also use the ISIS Administrator password to access the Agent pages.
To open the Storage Manager Agent:
1. Do one of the following:
t From the Storage Managers tool, select an IP address from the IP Addresses panel of the Details panel, and
click Info. For more information, see
“Viewing Storage Manager Details” on page 35.
t From the System Director desktop, click the “Launches the Agent Management Page” button on the ISIS
Launch Pad.” For more information, see
“ISIS Launch Pad” on page 49.
The Storage Manager Agent page opens.
2. Type the Administrator password into the password field and do one of the following:
t Click the arrow icon.
t Press Enter.
The Agent page opens.
Effect of Changing the Agent SSL Setting
For the Admin Server Agent, by default, SSL is enabled on the ISIS | 7500, and disabled on ISIS | 5500 and ISIS |
2500. (SSL is enabled on all ISIS models for the Storage Manager Agent.)
The following tables describe the required login access when SSL is set to the default or not. Changing the default
setting is not common and should be done only with the guidance of Avid support. For information on changing the
SSL setting, see
Agent Settings Page” on page 139.
In each case, you can use either the IP address or the host name (if applicable) of the server.
