Apply a small dab of grease to the splines and retaining ring

groove of the ring gear. Using a grease brush or your ﬁnger,

spread the grease all the way around the edge.

Slide the chainring and guide ring into position.

Using a ﬂathead screwdriver, install the chainring retaining

ring. Make sure that it is fully seated in the groove of the ring

gear by rotating it a couple of revolutions.

Clean and lightly grease the carrier seal on the crank arm.

To reinstall the crank arm place arm over the planet posts.

Insert the planet nuts and use 5 mm hex torque wrench to

torque to 5.6 N·m (50 in-lb).
