Typical Networking Configurations
On the network, there are two possible ways of setting up your site with
remote processing stations:
Point-to-point: A single client workstation is connected to a single remote
processing station.
Workgroup: One or more client workstations are connected to one or more
remote processing stations.
Point-to-point Setup The point-to-point setup consists of a single client workstation directly
connected to a single remote processing station. Both workstations are
connected using high-quality crossover network cable.
Workgroup Setup The workgroup setup consists of one or more client workstations with one or
more remote processing stations.
