Chapter 4 • Installing the License File
To verify the file extension of the license file
1. Go to Start > Settings > Control Panel > Folder Options.
2. Select the View tab.
3. From the Advanced Settings list, select the Show hidden files and
folders option.
4. Deselect the Hide file extensions for known file types option, and click OK.
5. Open the C:\Softimage\Flexlm\Licenses folder, and verify that the license
file is named: Softimage.lic.
6. If the file name extension is anything other than “.lic”, right-click on the
file, choose Rename, and change the file name extension to .lic.
