Installing the Interplay | Engine on the First Node
76
c
Shut down the second node when installing Interplay Engine for the first time.
n
When installing the Interplay Engine for the first time on a machine with cluster services, you
are asked to choose between clustered and regular installation. The installation on the second
node (or later updates) reuses the configuration from the first installation without allowing you
to change the cluster-specific settings. In other words, it is not possible to change the
configuration settings without uninstalling the Interplay Engine.
Bringing the Shared Database Drive Online

To bring the shared database drive online:
1. Shut down the second node.
2. Open the Disk Management tool in one of the following ways:
t Right-click My Computer and select Manage. In the Server Manager list, select Storage
> Disk Management.
t Click Start, type Disk, and select “Create and format hard drive.”
The Disk Management window opens. The following illustration shows the shared storage
drives labeled Disk 1, Disk 2, and Disk 3. Disk 1 is online, Disk 2 is not formatted and is
offline (not used), and Disk 3 is formatted but offline.
