5. Right-click on Logins, and select New Login.
The Login - New dialog box opens.
6. On the General page (it should already be in focus), make sure that the Windows
authentication is selected (checked).
7. In the Login name field, type the name of the new Windows user you created.

If this user is a domain user, you will need a fully qualified name (DOMAIN\USER) You can click
the Search button to help.
8. Click User Mapping.
9. Select the checkbox next to aspnetdb.
A list of roles will appear on the bottom window.
10. Depending on how you want to set up this user, do one of the following:
t If you want this user to be able to use the system, and also grant these privileges to a
future user, select db_owner.
t If you want this user to be able to be able to use the system, but not grant these
privileges to a future user, select aspnet Membership FullAccess.
11. In the top window, select the checkbox next to Settings.
A new list of roles will appear on the bottom.
12. Select db_owner.
13. Click OK.
14. Exit SQL Server Management Studio.
