This engine can serve over 1000 stations in large networks. It is not a standard part of AVG
Internet Security Business Edition and its usage is bound to the Microsoft SQL Server
license.
To change the database name insert a custom value into the Database name field.
Oracle
This engine can serve over 1000 stations in large networks. It is not a standard part of AVG
Internet Security Business Edition and its usage is bound to a commercial license.
MySQL
This engine can serve over 1000 stations in large networks. It is not a standard part of AVG
Internet Security Business Edition and a commercial license may be needed for use in a
commercial environment.
The Database access section allows you to change the following parameters (not available for all
database engines):
Username - a database username chosen for the database creation during the AVG Admin
Deployment Wizard.
Password - a database password chosen for the database creation during the AVG Admin
Deployment Wizard.
Computer name - type in the computer name with the database.
Instance – refers to a particular SQL Server/Oracle installation, if there is more than one
instance installed on the station.
The DataCenter settings section contains the following option:
Perform regular database backups - if checked, the AVG Admin Server will automatically
create the database backup. You can choose when to do the backups and how often.
The backup files are stored in the following location:
C:\Documents and settings\All users\Application Data\AVG2012\Admin Server
Data\DatabaseBackup
The folders are named in the format YEAR-MM-DD TIME for easier differentiation.
