15.1.3. Database Setup
If you have an existing DataCenter database, please copy it to the following location:
/opt/avg/avgadmsrv/var/db
and rename as avgdb.fdb.
If you are installing AVG Admin Server 8.5 for Linux for the first time and you do not
have any DataCenter database file created yet, the AVG Admin Server 8.5 for Linux
install script will install an empty DataCenter for you.
15.1.4. AVG Admin Server 8.5 for Linux Configuration
Open the configuration file avgadmsrv.conf from the following location:
/opt/avg/avgadmsrv/etc/avgadmsrv.conf
For a successful remote connection to the Firebird Server, locate the
ConnectionString parameter in the configuration file and set it to a proper value.
15.1.5. Security
AVG Admin Server 8.5 for Linux does not require superuser rights to run properly. We
recommend to run the server under a non-privileged user account.
15.1.6. License
Without registration with a valid license number you will not be able to connect to
DataCenter or perform updates over the HTTP protocol using AVG Admin Server 8.5 for
Linux in your local network.
If you want to use this feature, please register this product with a valid license
number for AVG Internet Security Business Edition.

15.1.7. Before You Start the Server
Check the access rights of the avgdb.fdb file prior to AVG Admin Server 8.5 for Linux
startup. The Firebird server must have the read/write access to the avgdb.fdb
database.
