APPENDIX
This appendix lists cable information for the 9493™ printer’s cable ports. Refer to the
Operator’s Handbook available on our Web site for information about connecting cables.
Serial Port
The 9493 printer has a 9-pin serial port. For best results, use Monarch cables. Contact your
Monarch representative to order cables.

USB Ports
The 9493 printer has both a Type-A and a Type mini-B USB port. For best results, use Monarch
cables. Contact your Monarch representative to order USB cables. See “USB Mode” in
Chapter 2 for information on setting up the USB port.
802.3 Ethernet Port
The 9493 printer uses an RJ-45 Ethernet plug. Refer to the Network System Administrator’s
Guide for information on using Ethernet.
