Jute   
•  Jute is a natural fiber and requires regular cleaning to look its best long term. 
•  Vacuum regularly on a low power/high pile setting. 
•  Do not steam clean or wet jute due to natural fibers’ ability to shrink. 
•  If spills occur, blot as much of the stain as possible with a clean cloth. 
•  Next, use a clean cloth with a small amount of warm water to gently blot the spill. Be careful not 
to saturate.  
•  Air dry, do not hang as fibers may stretch. 
•  Do not dry clean. 
•  Avoid direct sunlight to prevent fading. 
•  For best results, professional cleaning is recommended. 
Shag Rugs 
•  For best results in shag rugs, vacuum regularly with canister vacuum cleaners or with a beater 
bar on its highest pile setting. 
•  If spills occur, blot as much of the stain as possible with a clean cloth. 
•  Use a small amount of mild soap and water to clean the area. 
•  If needed, rug and carpet cleaners that are safe for synthetic materials may be used. As with 
anything, use sparingly and in a small, inconspicuous area first to test results before applying to 
the entire rug. 
•  Periodic professionally cleaning is recommended. 
Indoor/Outdoor Rugs 
•  If spills occur, blot as much of the stain as possible with clean cloth or paper towel. 
•  Apply mild soap and water to a clean sponge to remove the remainder of the spill. 
•  Allow area to dry. 
•  To clean the entire surface of the indoor/outdoor rug, spray with a mixture of mild soap and water 
and rinse with garden hose.
