VSI-Pro VIDEO SERIAL INTERFACE
RS-485 NETWORKER APPENDIX D
The simple to install and use the Networker PC Software Ver. 1.01 allows up to 16 VSI-Pros and Cash Registers to be
configured on an RS-485 network and report all the transaction data back to a single monitoring computer. This Win-
dows-based software can be configured to display in a windowing horizontal format below or tiling in a vertical format. All
data files are stored separately as independent files on the PC and can be downloaded or searched locally or remotely
to find specific transaction data or information. This can be used in conjuction with Windows-based DVR or Cash
Register software and eliminates the use of an additional PC for the collection, search, or transmission.

The Vnetworker is an enhancement to the Networker product and software to allow a PC to remotely control, program
and upload register data from up to 16 VSI-Pros on a single RS-485 network. The programming upload is user interactive
remotely similar to pressing the front panel controls of the VSI-Pro and changing the on-screen menus. However most
functions can be done remotely on the PC without looking at the monitor view of the menus and camera view.
The Vnetworker PC Software V2.3 can communicate with a VSI-Pro with Vnetworker or a VSI-Pro with Networker and
connects to the Cash Register. The Vnetworker or Networker take the RS-232 or RS-485 data from a cash register and
puts it on a common RS-485 network and sends it back to a PC via Hydra. This network supports up to 16 cash registers.
The Vnetworker PC software is able to program the VSI-Pro with Vnetworker remotely along with gathering the transac-
tion or exception data. The VSI-Pro with Networker can only send back the transaction data. The VSI-Pro must be Ver.
13.00 or 13.24 and Release 12 or higher. Any VSI-Pro Ver. 13.00 or 13.24 can be upgraded with a uP software change
for the hardware of the VSI-Pro remains the same.
