Hydra
The Hydra or Master unit is normally placed by the DVR or PC. This unit is the master and should have the termination
switch on if far from the first slave or RegCom device. Upon power up the Hydra will scan the network and enable any
slave address that it detects. If you add or delete a slave unit make sure you power cycle the Hydra to automatically
reconfigure the network.
LED Status Indicators
The front panel of the unit has 3 LED indicators - one to show when power is connected and two to indicate the status of
the device as follows:
When the unit is powered up, it performs a self-test, status light B will illuminate to indicate the test has completed
successfully and that the unit is functioning correctly. Status light A will flash whenever data is received at the RS485
input.
