RegCom Address Selection
Each Regcom unit on the RS-485 network must be set with a unique network address. The address is selected using
switches 1-5 from the bank of DIP switches on the rear of the unit. The address must correspond to the DVR channel
number that the text is to be associated with. The address must be set in binary code (see below), SW1 being the
“least significant bit”.

The DIP switch 7 (SW7) is used to enable or disable the high speed communication on RS485 network of Hydra-Regcom
network. When the SW7 is set to "ON" position, the RS485 high speed communication, 57.6 kbps, is enabled. When the
SW7 is set to "OFF" position the RS485 high speed communication is disabled and uses the standard 9.6 kbps.
The SW8 is used to set the termination. When the SW8 is set to “ON”, the device is terminated. When the SW8 is set
to “OFF”, it will be un-terminated.
The SW6 not be used.
