Safety Rules This instruction manual must be read with particular attention to the following safety rules, by any person installing, operating, or servicing this tool. 1 Do not use outside the design intent. 2 Do not use equipment with this tool other than that recommended and supplied by Avdel UK Limited. 3 The tool must be maintained in a safe working condition at all times. The operator must follow the daily and weekly service checks detailed on page 13.

Intent of Use The TX2000 is a battery powered hydraulic tool designed for placing Avdel® breakstem fasteners from 3.0mm to 6.4mm (1/4”) as shown in the table below and detailed on page 7. IMPORTANT: The tool, battery and charger must be used in accordance with the operating instructions and safety rules contained within this manual.

Before Starting Before starting, please read and follow the operating instructions carefully. CHARGING PROCEDURE AP-HBW/tu 1203 • The charger must only be used with Avdel® batteries. • Take the charger out of the case and connect to the mains power supply. The solid red LED indicates that the charger is operational. • Insert the battery correctly into the charger with minimal force. • If the green LED flashes when the battery is inserted this indicates that the battery is too hot.

Before Starting NOSE EQUIPMENT • A complete tool includes the nose assembly kit 71210-15100 with the following three nose tips as standard: 71210-05002, 71210-16070 and 07381-04701 (Please refer to page 7 for details of the range of fasteners they will place). Nose tip 07381-04701 is supplied fitted to the nose assembly and the other two are screwed into the front end of the tool.
Operating Procedure English O P E R AT I N G P R O C E D U R E • Connect the charged battery to the tool. • Insert the fastener stem into the nose of the tool. If using a standard nose tip the fastener must be held manually until placed into the application. • Bring the tool with the fastener to the application so that the protruding fastener enters the hole of the application squarely. • Fully actuate the trigger. The tool will cycle and place the fastener.
Changing Nose Equipment CHANGING NOSE EQUIPMENT IMPORTANT: The battery must be disconnected when fitting or removing the nose assemblies. Item numbers in bold refer to nose assembly components illustrated below. • Remove items in reverse order to that shown below • Lightly coat jaws 4 with Moly-lithium grease. • Drop jaws 4 into jaw housing 3. • Insert jaw spreader 5 into the jaw housing 3. • Locate buffer 6 on the jaw spreader 5. • Locate spring 7 onto jaw spreader 5.
English Servicing the Tool IMPORTANT: The employer is responsible for ensuring that tool maintenance instructions are given to the appropriate personnel. The operator should not be involved in maintenance or repair of the tool unless properly trained. The tool must be examined regularly for damage and malfunction. Priming Procedure PRIMING PROCEDURE Priming may be necessary after considerable use. Oil Details The recommended oil for priming is Hyspin® AWS 15 available in 0.5 litre (part number 07992-00076) or one gallon containers (part number 07992-00077). Please refer to page 17 for safety data. Avant de commencer EQUIPEMENT DE POSE • Un outil complet comprend le kit d'ensemble de nez (Réf. 71210-15100) comprenant les trois nez standard suivants : 71210-05002, 71210-16070 et 07381-04701 (reportez-vous à la page 25 pour de plus amples détails sur la gamme de fixations qui peuvent être posées). Le nez Réf. 07381-04701 est prémonté sur l'outil et les deux autres sont vissés à l'extrémité avant de l'outil.
Procédure d’utilisation Français P R O C E D U R E D ’ U T I L I S AT I O N • Raccordez la batterie chargée à l'outil. • Insérez la tige de la fixation dans le nez de l'outil. Si vous utilisez un nez standard, vous devez tenir la fixation manuellement jusqu'à ce qu'elle soit en place dans l'application. • Approchez l'outil et la fixation de l'application de sorte que la partie saillante de la fixation pénètre d'équerre dans le trou de l'application. • Actionnez la gâchette à fond.

Français Entretien de l’outil IMPORTANT : il incombe à l'employeur de s'assurer que le personnel concerné a reçu les instructions d'entretien de l'outil requises. L'entretien ou les réparations de l'outil ne doivent être confiés à l'opérateur que s'il a suivi la formation appropriée. Vérifiez régulièrement l'état et le fonctionnement de l'outil. Vor Inbetriebnahme N I E TA U S R Ü S T U N G • Ein komplettes Gerät umfasst standardmäßig die Ausrüstung 71210-15100 mit folgenden drei Mundstücken: 71210-05002, 71210-16070 und 07381-04701 (Angaben über die Niete, die mit diesen Mundstücken gesetzt werden können, finden Sie auf Seite 43). Bei der Lieferung ist das Mundstück 07381-04701 bereits an die Ausrüstung montiert, und die anderen zwei Mundstücke sind in die Stirnseite des Gerätes eingeschraubt.
Arbeitsweise Deutsch ARBEITSWEISE • Den aufgeladenen Akku in das Gerät stecken. • Den Nietdorn in das Mundstück des Gerätes einstecken. Beim Verwenden eines Standard-Mundstückes muss der Niet mit der Hand festgehalten werden, bis er in das Werkstück gesetzt wird. • Das Gerät mit dem Niet zum Werkstück führen, so dass der Niet rechtwinklig in das Bauteil eingeführt wird. • Den Auslöser drücken. Der Gerätezyklus startet und der Niet wird gesetzt.
Inbetriebnahme WECHSELN DER AUSRÜSTUNG WICHTIG: Der Akku muss beim Anbauen oder Entfernen der Ausrüstung entfernt sein. Die fettgedruckten Positionsnummern verweisen auf die unten abgebildeten Einzelteile der Ausrüstung. • • • • • • • • Gemäß der unteren Abbildung die Einzelteile in umgekehrter Reihenfolge entfernen. Die Spannbacken 4 leicht mit Moly-Lithiumfett einfetten. Die Spannbacken 4 in die Spannbackenpatrone 3 einsetzen. Den Spannbackenspreizer 5 in die Spannbackenpatrone 3 einsetzen.
Wartung des Gerätes Deutsch WICHTIG: Der Arbeitgeber ist dafür verantwortlich, dass die Wartungsanleitung dem entsprechendem Personal zur Verfügung steht. Das Bedienungspersonal darf nur dann mit Wartungs- oder Reparaturarbeiten vertraut werden, wenn es dementsprechend geschult wurde. Das Gerät muss regelmäßig auf Beschädigungen und Fehlfunktionen untersucht werden. Die folgenden Wartungskontrollen müssen ausgeführt werden: TÄGLICH • Auf Öllecks* untersuchen.
Auffüllverfahren A U F F Ü L LV E R F A H R E N Nach längerem Betrieb kann eine neue Auffüllung des Gerätes erforderlich sein. Öldetails Die empfohlene Ölsorte zum Auffüllen ist Hyspin® AWS 15, erhältlich als 0,5 Literbehälter (Art-Nr. 07992-00076) oder als 4,5 Literbehälter (Art-Nr. 07992-00077). Alla consegna dell'attrezzo, il nasello 07381-04701 è già montato alla testata: le altre due sono avvitate alla parte anteriore dell'attrezzo.
Procedura operativa Italiano P R O C E D U R A O P E R AT I V A • Montare la batteria carica all'attrezzo. • Inserire il gambo del rivetto nel nasello dell'attrezzo: se viene utilizzato un nasello di serie, il rivetto deve essere tenuto con la mano finché non viene inserito nel pezzo in lavorazione. • Avvicinare l'attrezzo, con rivetto inserito, al pezzo in lavorazione e infilare il rivetto sporgente nel foro perpendicolarmente.
Sostituzione Testata S O S T I T U Z I O N E T E S TATA ATTENZIONE: togliere la batteria durante lo smontaggio o il montaggio della testata. I numeri in grassetto si riferiscono ai componenti della testata sotto illustrati. • • • • • • • • Smontare i componenti eseguendo, in ordine inverso, le istruzioni opposte a quelle di montaggio sotto indicate. Lubrificare leggermente le ganasce 4 con grasso litio moly. Lasciar cadere le ganasce 4 nell'alloggiamento ganasce 3.
Italiano Manutenzione NOTA IMPORTANTE Il datore deve assicurarsi che le istruzioni di manutenzione siano consegnate al personale competente. Non deve essere permesso all'operatore di eseguire interventi di manutenzione o di riparazione dell'attrezzo a meno che non sia stato adeguatamente addestrato. L'attrezzo deve essere ispezionato regolarmente per verificare che non sia danneggiato e che funzioni a dovere. Effettuare i controlli sotto indicati.
Procedura di rabbocco PROCEDURA DI RABBOCCO La procedura di rabbocco va di solito effettuata dopo aver utilizzato l'attrezzo intensamente o per lungo tempo. Specifiche dell'olio L'olio di rabbocco raccomandato è Hyspin® AWS 15, disponibile in contenitori da 0,5 litri (codice 07992-00076) o da 1 gallone (codice 07992-00077).
