USB Locks options Description
Lock USB Mouse
(only if Enable USB Port is checked)
• The checkbox is used to lock or unlock the
USB Mouse
• Reboot is not required for change to take
effect.
Lock USB Keyboard
(only if Enable USB Port is checked)
• The checkbox is used to lock or unlock the
USB Keyboard.
• Reboot is not required for change to take
effect.
Disable USB Headset
(only if Enable USB Port is checked)
• The checkbox is used to lock or unlock the
USB Headset.
• A change from unlock to lock USB Headset
triggers an optional reboot request in order
to remove the USB headset driver.
Lock USB Flash Drive
(only if Enable USB Port is checked)
• The checkbox is used to lock or unlock the
USB Flash Drive.
• Reboot is not required for change to take
effect.
Important:
Although a locked USB device is not functional, it still appears in the USB menu.
The following table describes the function of the Context-sensitive soft keys for the USB Locks
screen.

Context-sensitive soft key Action
Apply Applies and saves changes; quits the USB
Locks screen and returns you to the previous
screen. If the changes require reboot, a
dialog box appears with a warning that a
reboot is required for the change to take
effect. The warning dialog box lets you
reboot immediately, or delay the reboot for
later without updating the status of all the
USB driver. The reboot condition is
reevaluated each time you access the USB
Locks menu, based on the USB Locks
configuration. It is possible to undo the
changes and remove the reboot
requirement. One or more of the following
conditions triggers a reboot request:
