· Incoming Call Route Locale: The incoming call route locale, if set, is used if caller is external.
· User Locale: The user locale, if set, is used if the caller is internal.
· System Locale: If no user or incoming call route locale is set, the system locale is used unless
overridden by a short code locale.
· Add/Display VM Locales: Release 6.2+.
For new IP500 V2 SD cards and cards recreated using Branch Gateway Manager, the following Embedded Voicemail
languages set are placed onto cards by default. Using this option displays the list of languages that can be uploaded
from Branch Gateway Manager. Those languages already present or not supported are greyed out. If a locale is
selected for the system, a user, a short code or an incoming call route which is not present on the SD card, Branch
Gateway Manager will display an error. This command can be used to upload the required language prompts to correct
the error.
· IP Office A-Law/Norstar SD Cards: UK English.
· IP Office U-Law/PARTNER SD Cards: US English.
· Voicemail Destination: Default = Blank
Not supported by B5800 Branch Gateway.
· Voicemail IP Address: Default = 255.255.255.255
This setting is used when the Voicemail Type is set to Standalone Voice Mail. It is also used when Avaya Branch
Gateway is configured to use Modular Messaging over SIP or Avaya Aura Messaging as the central voicemail
system and Standalone Voice Mail is used for auto attendant operation.
· Backup Voicemail IP Address : Default = 0.0.0.0 (Off).
This option is not supported for Avaya Branch Gateway.
· Phone context: Range = Up to 11 characters.
This field is used when the Voicemail Type is set to CallPilot. It indicates the redirection information, that is the history
info field of the SIP message to identify the mail box on the CallPilot .Typical CallPilot phone context are dial plan
configured on CS1K, for example CDP or UDP.
· Minimum Password Length: Default = None
This option is available when Embedded Voicemail or Standalone Voice Mail is selected as the voicemail system.
· CallPilot Number
This field is used when the Voicemail Type is set to CallPilot. In that mode, calls to voicemail are routed via the SM
line to this number.
· CallPilot PSTN Number
This field is used when the Voicemail Type is set to CallPilot. This number is optional. If set, it is used to route calls
to voicemail when the SM Line is not in service.
· NOTE: The CallPilot PSTN Number field and associated Enable Voicemail Instructions Using DTMF check
box are not supported in R6.26.2. IP Office Aura Edition cannot access the CallPilot system over the PSTN when
the Session Manager line is down.
· AAM Number
This option is available when Avaya Aura Messaging is the selected Voicemail Type. Access to voicemail is routed
via an SM line to the numbers specified in this field. The optional AAM PSTN Number can be configured for use when
the SM Line is not in service.
· AAM PSTN Number
This option is available when Avaya Aura Messaging is the selected Voicemail Type. This field sets the number
used for access to voicemail when the SM Line is not in service.
· For a setup where the voicemail box numbers configured on Avaya Aura Messaging or Modular Messaging
are same as the caller's DID, the short code to route the PSTN call should be such that the caller-id is
withheld ( "W" in the telephone-number of the shortcode ). This is to make sure that, during rainy day -
the voicemail system does not automatically go to the voicemail box of the caller based on the caller id.
· Use embedded for AA and Announcements: Default = Off.
A B5800 Branch Gateway system configured to use Modular Messaging over SIP or Avaya Aura Messaging can
still select to use the local Embedded Voicemail to provide announcements to waiting calls to local users and groups
and to provide local auto attendants .
· Enable Voicemail Instructions using DTMF: Default = On
This option is available when Avaya Aura Messaging, Module Messaging over SIP or CallPilot is selected in the
Voicemail Type drop-down box. This option is intended to ensure users do not lose voicemail messages due to a WAN
outage. This option enhances voicemail continuity over the PSTN and facilitates getting the call to the specific mailbox
rather than to the general prompt of the Modular Messaging over SIP, Avaya Aura Messaging or CallPilot central
voicemail systems.
· When an MM PSTN number or AAM PSTN number is configured, Avaya Branch Gateway will send voicemail calls
to that PSTN number when Session Manager is not available. The calls go through the PSTN trunk that is
configured on the Avaya Branch Gateway. When the Enable Voicemail Instructions using DTMF check box is
checked, the DTMF digits required to required to access the mailbox are automatically sent.
