Configuration manual
Name Range or Default Description
Allow Direct Media Path Default = On This setting controls whether
connected calls must remain
routed via the B5800 Branch
Gateway or can be routed
alternately if possible within
the network structure.
• If enabled, connected calls
can take routes other than
through the B5800 Branch
Gateway. This removes the
need for a voice
compression channel.
• If disabled or not supported
at one end of the call, the
call is routed via the B5800
Branch Gateway. However
RTP relay support allows
calls between devices
using the same audio
codec to not require a voice
compression channel.
Re-Invite Supported Default = On When enabled, Re-Invite can
be used during a session to
change the characteristics of
the session, for example
when the target of an
incoming call or a transfer
does not support the codec
originally negotiated on the
trunk.
Use Offerer's Preferred
Codec
Default = Off Normally for SIP calls, the
codec preference of the
answering end is used. This
option can be used to
override that behavior and
use the codec preferences
offered by the caller.
Codec Lockdown Default = Off Supports RFC 3264 Section
10.2 when Re-Invite
Supported and Codec
Lockdown are enabled. In
response to a SIP offer with a
list of codecs supported,
some SIP user agents supply
a SDP answer that also lists
multiple codecs. This means
