Settings files parameters
The B189 phone will use the 46xxsettings.txt file. Note: that only a subset of the settings parameters will apply,
please refers to the comments on the 46xxsettings.txt template on http://support.avaya.com.
The B189 phone will support new settings file parameter:
PHNSCRIDLE - specifies the content displayed in Main Display Area when the phone is in Idle state.
Operation depends on a value of the PHNSCRIDLE parameter value:
0 - Dial Pad Window is displayed (Default)
1 - Call Appearance Window is displayed

To drop a call that is placed on hold by the remote side and on which
music on hold is configured (CM configuration):
1. Press drop button twice.
2. Press the on-hook/off-hook button.

Contact pairing - The pairing algorithm does not work in case of
bridge/forward calls.

In following cases when ignoring a second incoming call, the call details
screen is not refreshed:
1. While on active call, if an incoming call is ignored, and the
active call is dropped (before the incoming call is terminated),
the call details screen will not refreshed.
Workaround: Press the phone button or On-hook/off hook
button.
2. While placing an active call on hold, if incoming call is ignored,
the un-hold button will not work.
Workaround: to un-hold the call, use the phone screen and
select the call appearance.
3. While setting bridge appearance on to second line of phone B,
and calling phone B, if phone B gets another incoming call and if
user presses will press “answer drop”, the call details screen will
not refreshed
Workaround: Press Phone button or On-hook/off-hook button.

When putting a call is on hold, pressing the dial pad will open dial pad
in DTMF mode. To initiate a new call select new call appearance on the
phone screen.
Bridged Appearance

When the B189 phone has bridged appearance to another phone,
(Phone B) in the following scenario, the call details screen is not
refreshed:
1. Phone B calling phone C from the second line appearance.
2. Phone B conferences phone D to the previous call with phone C
3. User on Phone B presses join (before phone D answers)
Workaround: Press Phone button or On-hook/off-hook button.
