Important Safety Information (continued)
Pacemakers
If you have a pacemaker, you should consult a physician or the manufacturer of your
pacemaker if you have questions regarding the effect of RF signals on your pacemaker. If
you have a pacemaker, ensure that you are using CarFi in accordance with the safety
requirements for that particular pacemaker, which may include the following:
Always keep CarFi more than 20 cm (7 Inches) from the pacemaker when CarFi
is turned on.
If you have any reason to believe that CarFi is interfering with the proper
functioning of your pacemaker, turn CarFi off immediately.
Hearing Aids
Some digital wireless devices may interfere with the normal operations of some hearing aids.
In case of such interference, consult your service provider or contact the manufacturer of
your hearing aid to determine alternatives.
Other Medical Devices
If you use any other personal medical devices, consult the manufacturer of that device to
determine if it is adequately shielded from external RF energy. Your physician may be able to
assist you in obtaining this information.
Medical Facilities
Turn CarFi off in hospitals and other health care facilities when any regulations posted in
these facilities tell you to do so. Hospitals and other health care facilities may be using
equipment that could be sensitive to external RF energy.
