Static electricity is an invisible energy which causes
problems in the body shops and paint spray booths,
where there are buildups of electrostatic charges in the
surfaces.
Generally, it is caused when materials come into contact
or when they are cleaned before the painting process.
Consequently, the objects get attracted or they repel to
one another. This can cause discharges or it can even
create a spark which can lead to another object.

static electricity generators. All these processes invol-
ve some kind of contact with the surface, whether it
is physical or air contact. Even the process of painting
with a spray gun can build up statics in the surface to
be treated.
Due to all the processes in the paint spray booth can
cause static electricity, and since this electricity easily
moves through all the surface to be treated, it is ne-
cessary to ionize all the working area, even the edges,
before every application. Since static electricity as an
invisible energy, it can also appear when applying trea-
ted air on the surface.
What the treated air is actually doing is coating the pa-
nel with an invisible layer of positive and negative ions
which rapidly neutralizes static charges.

Q1® Anti-Static Gun is an advanced cordless system
which generates positive and negative ions and the ne-
cessary energy to neutralize static electricity present in
all chargedsurfaces to leave them free of dirt particles,
ready to be painted.
The system is composed of an ions generator and a val-
ve which leads the compressed air towards the target
to be neutralized, the air and ions combination cause
the expulsion of the particles preventing them to be
adhered to any surface due to a loss of charge.
The electrodes are aligned with the laser so that it will
always mark the area where the static neutralization is
applied to.
It is also provided with a 4-level charging battery indi-
cator placed in the upper part to be easily visible to the
user and it is activated during charging or during the
operation of the gun.
