Operation Manual
Advanced
Advanced GPS settings are available on two subsequent screens,
that is:
Use Bluetooth GPS receiver - allows to activate the BT
module in the computer if it is off. It also helps if there occur
problems with the renewal of the BT connection with the GPS
device after leaving the sleep mode.
Hide Bluetooth Browser - on older devices with Windows
Mobile, it helps to hide the BT device selection window.
Compensate signal delay - adjusts the position forecasting
"strength".
Ignore GPS Deviations - specifies the value of deviation of
your GPS position from the road network on the map to be
ignored, with the position still drawn at a section of the closest
road.
Advanced 2
For options Open port only when in use and Read COM port
in separate thread it is not recommended to change the
default settings, unless you are experiencing problems with the
connection to the GPS device. The default settings are specified
by program.
Reading frequency of GPS port - enables the setting of time
delay between subsequent readings of the GPS port. The higher
the frequency, the better the accuracy (but, potentially, lower
efficiency).
Save track automatically - enables the user to save the GPS
track during every journey while reducing the size of the saved
file to that selected in the "to files with max. total size:" option.
3.3.4 Voice messages - Settings
Volume
AutoMapa handles volume – device volume is specified by
the application.
Note: volume adjustment is made only for the time of system
playing the voice messages.
Constant message volume - volume slider allows you to
increase or decrease the volume of messages, which will not be
adjusted in accordance with the speed of your car.
Volume adjustment can also be executed automatically, based
on the vehicle speed. During fast drive, the interior of the car is
noisier than during slow drive. The settings shown at the right-
side of the screen should be interpreted as follows: with the
speed below 40 km/h, the volume remains at the level of 50%
and increases on a straight-line basis once the speed exceeds 40
km/h, only to achieve the maximum setting of 90% if the speed
reaches 120 km/h. At speeds greater than 120 km/h, volume
remains at the level of 90%.
