When you align the camera position along one of the axis:
■ Aligning with X axis toggles between front and back face views.
■ Aligning with Y axis toggles between left and right face views.
■ Aligning with Z axis toggles between top and bottom face views.
NOTE You can customize the location of the front face by using the ViewCube tool. This change is global, and affects
all viewpoints.
To align with X-axis
■ Click Viewpoint tab ➤ Camera panel ➤ Align Camera drop-down ➤ Align X .

To align with Y-axis
■ Click Viewpoint tab ➤ Camera panel ➤ Align Camera drop-down ➤ Align Y

To align with Z-axis
■ Click Viewpoint tab ➤ Camera panel ➤ Align Camera drop-down ➤ Align Z

To look from a preset face view
■ Right-click the Scene View, and click Viewpoint ➤ Look From.
■ Click one of the face views. Choose from:
■ Top
■ Bottom
■ Front
■ Back
■ Left
■ Right
Navigation Aids
Head-Up Display
Head-up display elements are on-screen displays that provide information about your location and orientation
in the 3D world.
In Autodesk Navisworks, you can use the following head-up display (HUD) elements:
■ XYZ Axes. Shows the X, Y, Z orientation of the camera (or the avatar’s eye if the avatar is visible). The XYZ
Axes indicator is located at the bottom-left of the Scene View.
