Adjust File Units and Transform
For each appended file, you can change the file units, and modify the models rotation, origin, and scale.
It is recommended to adjust file units first, before attempting to fix the problems with model alignment.
To change file units in a loaded file
1 Right-click the desired file in the Selection Tree, and click File Units and Transform on the shortcut menu.
2 In the File Units and Transform dialog box, select the required format in the Units drop-down list.
3 Click OK.
To change a file transform in a loaded file
1 Right-click the desired file in the Selection Tree, and click File Units and Transform on the shortcut menu.
2 To move the models location, in the File Units and Transform dialog box, the Origin area, enter values for
the X, Y and Z axis.
If you use a negative scale, select the Reflected Transform check box.
3 To change the models rotation, in the File Units and Transform dialog box, the Rotation area, enter an
angle of rotation, and selecting the axis to rotate about (by typing a value greater than 0). This will rotate
the model about its origin point.
4 To change the models scale, in the File Units and Transform dialog box, the Scale area, enter values for the
X, Y and Z axis. To proportionally scale an object, ensure the X, Y, and Z values are equal.
Entering a negative value flips the model inside out.
