The thumbnails show a fixed view of the model. By default, the section thumbnail shows the view from the
front of the model and the plan thumbnail shows a top view of the model.
Thumbnail views are displayed inside the control bars. A triangular marker represents your current viewpoint.
This marker moves as you navigate, showing the direction of your view. The marker may also be dragged by
holding the left mouse button over it and dragging to move the camera in the Scene Area.
NOTE The marker changes to a small dot when the thumbnail view is in the same plane as the camera view.
To use the Plan Thumbnail
1 Click View ➤ Control Bars ➤ Plan Thumbnail.
The Plan View control bar opens with the thumbnail view of the model.
2 Drag the triangular marker on the thumbnail into a new location. The camera in the Scene Area changes
its position to match the position of the marker in the thumbnail.
Alternatively, navigate to a different location in the Scene Area. The triangular marker in the thumbnail
changes its position to match the camera position in the Scene Area.
3 To manipulate a thumbnail view, right-click anywhere in the Plan View control bar. Use the shortcut menu
to adjust the view as desired.
Command entry: CTRL + F9
To use the Section Thumbnail
1 Click View ➤ Control Bars ➤ Sectiion Thumbnail.
The Section View control bar opens with the thumbnail view of the model.
2 Drag the triangular marker on the thumbnail into a new location. The camera in the Scene Area changes
its position to match the position of the marker in the thumbnail.
Alternatively, navigate to a different location in the Scene Area. The triangular marker in the thumbnail
