Create an Assembly Drawing
In a standard assembly drawing, cable and harness information is treated like
other parts and subassemblies. You use normal drawing and manager methods
and tools to detail it. You can sweep or recover harness objects into the drawing
as centerlines.
1 Click File ➤ New.
2 On the Open template dialog box, select the default template,
Standard_AIP.idw, and then click OK.
3 In the drawing view, click the Base View tool.
4 On the Drawing View dialog box, ensure that Enclosure_assembly.iam is
selected. The default location is:
Microsoft
®
Windows
®
XP operating system
■ Program Files\Autodesk\Inventor <version>\Tutorial Files\Cable & Harness
Windows
®
Vista
™
operating system
■ Users\login-name\AppData\Local\Autodesk\Inventor <version>\Tutorial
Files\Cable & Harness
5 In the browser, expand VIEW 1 and Enclosure_assembly.iam.
