Choosing a Profile Number File
To choose a profile number file
1 In the HECS ANS Selections dialog box, select a PROFILE NO. file name, and
then click Open to display the HEC-2 Cross Section dialog box.
HEC-2 data displays in the following columns:
n
Station: The station at the cross section.
n
Width: Width of floodway.
n
Section Area: Cross section area.
n
Mean Velocity: Mean velocity.
n
WSEL Floodway: Water surface elevation with floodway.
n
WSEL: Water surface elevation without floodway.
n
WSEL Difference: Water surface elevation difference.
TIP
You can see the descriptions from within the HEC-2 Cross Section dialog
box by placing your cursor in a column and clicking the Description
button. Use the navigation buttons on the right side of the window to
move through the rows of data.
2 Use the following guidelines to view or plot data:

return to the HEC-2 ANS Selections dialog box and
select a different file to view

Choosing a Summary Printout
To choose a summary printout
1 In the HECS ANS Selections dialog box, select a Summary Printout file name,
and then click OK to display the HEC-2 Cross Section dialog box.
HEC-2 data displays in the following columns (not all columns are shown at all
times):
n
SECNO: Identifying cross section number
n
CWSEL: Computed water surface elevation
n
WSELK: Known water surface elevation
n
10*KS: Slope of energy grade line (times 10,000)
n
K*CHSL: Channel bed slope (times 1000)
n
VLOB: Mean velocity in left overbank
n
VCH: Mean velocity in channel
n
VROB: Mean velocity in right overbank
n
ELMIN: Minimum elevation in the cross section
