If you are working with compound curves where the point of tangency (PT) of
curve 1 is not the same station as the point of curvature (PC) of curve 2,
superelevation cannot be applied correctly in the transition between curve 1
and curve 2. Examples in which this may occur is when a tangent or spiral
separates curve 1 from curve 2.
In these situations, you can modify the End Station of curve 1 and the Start
Station of curve 2 to match so that the superelevation is being applied correctly.
If you modify the Start or End Stations of the curve data in the Superelevation
Curve Edit dialog box, it does not affect the horizontal geometry of the
alignment definition. The data in the dialog box is for superelevation purposes
only.
