Divide. The number of objects and the length of the path determine the
spacing of the objects in the array. The objects are always spaced evenly
along the entire length of the path. When the array is associative, the
spacing between the objects automatically adjusts as the length of the path
changes after it is created.
To create a path array
1 Click Home tab Modify panel Path Array.
2 Select the objects to array and press Enter.
3 Select the path curve.
A preview displays as you define the array.
4 (Optional) Enter o (Orientation) and specify a base point, or press Enter
to use the end of the selected path as the base point. And then specify
one of the following methods:
Direction to align with the starting direction of the path.
Normal. Objects are aligned to be normal to the starting direction of
the path.
5 Do one of the following:
Specify the distance between items.
Enter d (Divide) to evenly distribute items along the entire length of
the path.
Enter t (Total) and specify the total distance between the first and last
items.
Enter e (Expression) and define an expression.
6 Press Enter.
