To export selected objects to an IGES file
1 Click Output tab ➤ Send panel ➤ Export.
2 In the IGES Export Data dialog box, in the Files of type box, select IGES
(*.igs, *.iges).
3 In the File Name box, specify the name of the IGES file.
4 Click Save.
5 Select the objects to export and press ENTER to begin the export process.
When export is finished, a notification bubble is displayed.
Quick Reference
Commands
IGESEXPORT
Saves selected objects in the current drawing to a new IGES (*.igs, *.iges) file.
EXPORT
Saves the objects in a drawing to a different file format.
Export WMF Files
You can export selected objects to a WMF (Windows metafile format) file.
While WMF files can contain both vector and raster data, AutoCAD-based
products export only vector data.
To create a Windows metafile (WMF)
1 Click Output tab ➤ Send panel ➤ Export.
2 In the Export Data dialog box, in the Files of type box, select Metafile
(*.wmf).
3 Select a folder and enter a file name. Click Save.
4 Select the objects to be included in the exported file.
