Select your choice in the following prompts to import objects, lights, cameras,
and materials from the FBX file.
Import objects? [Yes/No] <Yes>:
All objects are imported.
Import lights? [Yes/No] <Yes>:
Point, Spot, Distant, Photometric, Sun, and Sky lights are imported. AutoCAD
settings are applied for Plot Glyph, Glyph Display, Targeted (Geometry), and
Render Shadow Details properties of the imported lights.
Import cameras? [Yes/No] <Yes>:
All cameras are imported and the AutoCAD setting is used for the plot property
of the camera. Create target cameras in Autodesk
®
3ds MAX to accurately
import them in AutoCAD.
Import materials? [Yes/No] <Yes>:
Materials in the imported file are selected.
Enter layer assignment to [New layer/Current layer/by Material] <New layer>:
Specify the layer the contents of the FBX file are imported to.
Enter unit conversion (FBX file: Inches, Current Drawing: Inches)
<1.000:1.000>:
Specify the conversion unit. Enter a conversion factor to import the objects
in the same unit as the current drawing file.
Insert file as block? [Yes/No] <Yes>:
Inserts the contents of the imported FBX file as a block. Importing the objects
in the FBX file as a block allows you to move, scale, rotate, and make other
modifications to it.
Selecting no, imports the chosen contents of the FBX file to be imported into
the current file, either in the current layer, or a new layer as specified by you.
Name the block:
Specify a name for the block and press Enter. The contents of the FBX file is
saved as a block to the temp folder.
