Appearance Tab
Contains the controls for editing the material properties.
Create Material Creates or duplicates the material.
Options Provides swatch shape and render quality options.
Swatch Preview Previews the selected material.
Name Specifies the name of the material.
Show Materials Browser Displays the
Materials Browser on page 1088.
Information Tab
Contrains all controls for editing and viewing the keyword information of a
material.
Information Specifies the general description of the material.
■ Name. Displays the material name.
■ Description. Provides the descriptive information of the material
appearance.
■ Keywords. Provides keywords or tags of the material appearance. The
keywords are used to search and filter materials in the Materials Browser.
About Includes the type, version, and location of the material.
■ Type. Specifies the material type.
■ Version. Specifies the version number of the material.
Texture Paths Displays the file path of the texture file associated with the
material attribute.
