To insert markups
1 Open the drawing file in which you want to insert markups.
2 On the Insert menu, click Markup.
3 In the Insert Markup dialog box, select the RML file you want to insert and
click Open.
4 In the Map Markup dialog box, do one of the following:
■ To map all identically named layouts as shown in the Markup to Draw-
ing Mappings list, click OK to complete the markup insertion.
■ To add mappings to the Markup to Drawing Mappings list, under Map
Additional Layouts, select one or more markup layouts and one draw-
ing layout. Click Map to define the mapping. When mapping is com-
plete, click OK.
■ To remove mappings from the Markup to Drawing Mappings list, select
a mapping in the list and click Remove. To remove all the mappings,
click Remove All. When mapping is complete, click OK.
Markups are displayed in the drawing area.

RMLIN
Review Electronic Markups
When you insert an RML file, the markup objects are added to your drawing
file on a layer called
_MARKUP_. A layer for markups helps you keep markups
separate from the other objects in your drawing.
If you save the drawing after inserting an RML file, the markup objects in the
RML file become part of the drawing.
Hide Objects on the Markup Layer
Inserted objects take on the properties of the
_MARKUP_ layer, which by
default uses the
CONTINUOUS linetype and is locked and red. After inserting
your markups, you can hide them using the On/Off property in the Layer
Properties Manager.
