To specify the default type of i-drop content
1 At the Command prompt, enter setidrophandler.
2 In the Set Default i-drop Content Type dialog box, in the Choose Default
i-drop Content Type list, select a type of i-drop content.
The only i-drop content types that are listed are those for installed
Autodesk products that provide this type of i-drop functionality.
If the representative i-drop content image you drag into your drawing
points to more than one type of content, this setting specifies which type
of content is actually inserted. Selecting Block specifies that an AutoCAD
block is inserted. You can drop a block into a drawing that was created in
any AutoCAD-based product.
To view a log file of i-drop content in your drawing
In the folder where your drawing is stored, double-click the file named
<drawing name>_idrop.txt.
The log file displays the name of the drawing file (target file), the name of
the i-drop content file inserted in your drawing (located at the end of the
source URL), the date and time it was inserted, the source URL of each
associated data file, and the destination (location) of any associated data
files.
To view the URL hyperlink for the source of an inserted i-drop content image
1 In your drawing, select the i-drop content image.
2 Move your cursor over the selected i-drop content image.
The URL hyperlink is displayed in a tooltip.
Package a Drawing File Set for Internet
Transmission
A common problem when sending a drawing to someone is neglecting to
include related files (such as fonts and xrefs) with the drawing. In some cases,
not including these associated files can make the original drawing unusable
by the recipient. With eTransmit, you can create a transmittal set of an
AutoCAD drawing that automatically includes all its related files. You can
post the transmittal set to the Internet or send it to others as an email attach-
ment. A report file is automatically generated that includes instructions
detailing what files are included in the transmittal set and what must be done
with them so that they are usable by the original drawing. You can also add
notes to the report and specify password protection for the transmittal set.
