Edit OLE Objects in Drawings
You can easily edit linked or embedded OLE objects by double-clicking the
object. This opens the server application, where you can make your modifi-
cations. The editing operations available depend on whether AutoCAD is the
server application or the container application.
Edit OLE Objects When AutoCAD Is the Server Application
The document containing a linked AutoCAD drawing stores the AutoCAD
drawing’s file location. You can edit a linked AutoCAD drawing either from
the container application or in AutoCAD. AutoCAD must be loaded or acces-
sible on the system along with the document you are editing.
