658 | Chapter 22 Plot Drawings
■ If multiple devices are to be used for the batch, verify the configurations
of the devices and save them as PC3 files.
■ The Batch Plot utility saves the AutoCAD window size in batch list files to
preserve plotting aspect ratios when plotting with the Display option.
Adjust the AutoCAD window size, if needed, before plotting or saving a
batch.
Once you complete these preliminary steps, create the batch file list by
choosing the drawing files and then specifying the layout, page setup, and
plot device to use for each drawing.
You can test the batch plot before plotting. AutoCAD loads but does not plot
each drawing in the batch. You can check for missing xrefs, fonts, or shapes.
If you encounter errors, quit the Batch Plot utility. Open the drawing, address
the issues, and save the drawing.
By creating a log file, you can also record who plotted each drawing and
when, and any errors encountered during plotting.
