Preview a Plot
It is good practice to generate a preview of the plotted drawing before send-
ing the drawing to the printer or plotter. Generating a preview saves time and
material.
You can generate a full preview from the Plot dialog box. A full preview
shows exactly how the drawing will look when plotted, including line-
weights, fill patterns, and other plot style options.
In the Plot dialog box, you can also generate a partial preview, which shows
the position of the drawing on the page and provides information about the
area of the paper and plot.
To generate a partial plot preview
1 From the File menu, choose Plot.
2 In the Plot dialog box, choose Partial Preview.
AutoCAD displays information about the plotted page and shows the
location of the drawing on the page.
3 Choose OK.
4 If necessary, make additional adjustments to the plot settings and preview
the plotted drawing again.
5 Once the settings are correct, choose OK to plot the drawing.
