Add Text to a Leader
There are two ways to create leader text with AutoCAD. You can enter text on
the command line, or you can create paragraphs of text using the Multiline
Text Editor. If you create multiline text, you can apply formatting to individ-
ual words or letters. You can also append copies of existing annotation to a
leader.
Text is placed automatically at the endpoint of the leader, at the specified off-
set. You specify this offset in the Modify Dimension Style Manager, Text tab,
under Text Placement. Feature control frames also are placed automatically
at the endpoint of the leader. Blocks are inserted at the location, scale, and
rotation you specify.
Use the Vertical settings in the Modify Dimension Style Manager, Text tab,
under Text Placement to align the annotation vertically with the leader. In
the following illustration, the vertical justification option used is Above.
