Save and Restore Views | 137
Restore a View
You restore a named view to the current viewport. You can use named views
to
■ Restore a view in a model viewport or a layout viewport
■ Specify an area for plotting
■ Determine the initial model view when opening a drawing
When opening a drawing, you can specify a layout view only if you saved the
drawing in that specific layout tab.
To display the previous view
■ On the Standard toolbar, click Zoom Previous

To display the previous view during PAN Realtime and ZOOM Realtime
■ Right-click and choose Zoom Original from the shortcut menu.
To save and name a view
1 If you have more than one viewport, click inside the viewport that con-
tains the view you want to save.
2 From the View menu, choose Named Views.
3 In the View dialog box, on the Named Views tab, choose New.
4 In the New View dialog box, enter a name for the view.
The name can be up to 255 characters long and contain letters, digits, and
the special characters dollar sign ($), hyphen (–), and underscore (_).
5 If you want to save only part of the current view, select Define Window.
Then click the Define Window button to use the pointing device to
specify opposite corners of the view. Otherwise, select Current Display.
6 Choose OK to save the new view and exit the New View dialog box.
7 Choose OK to exit the View dialog box.
