To trim a surface using a projected wire shape
1 Freeze layer
10 and thaw the TOP layer.
2 Return to the front right isometric view.
Desktop Menu View ➤ 3D Views ➤ Front Right Isometric
3 Use
AMPROJECT to cut top B where the inlet fits, responding to the prompts.
Desktop Menu Surface ➤ Edit Surface ➤ Project Trim
Select wires to project: Select wire (1) and press
ENTER
Select target surfaces/quilts: Select surface (2) and press ENTER
4 In the Project to Surface dialog box, specify:
Direction: Normal
Output Type: Trim Surface
Keep Original Wires: Remove the check from the check box
Choose OK.
Top B is cut open for the inlet. The top and inlet are complete. Save the file.
