2 In the Project to Surface dialog box, specify:
Direction: Choose Normal
Output Type: Choose Trim Surface
Keep Original Wire: Check the check box
Choose OK.
The polyline is projected onto the curved surface, trimming out the surface
inside the polyline.
3 Use
UNDO and try different selection points and output types for the
projection.
