4 Use AMRULE to create a curved surface from polylines drawn with sharp cor-
ners, responding to the prompts.
Desktop Menu Surface ➤ Create Surface ➤ Rule
Select first wire: Select polyline (1)
Select second wire: Select polyline (2)
A continuous smooth curved surface is created.
5 Use the Extents option of
ZOOM to redisplay all of the wireframes and select
the object for the next exercise.
Now use the same polylines, but choose a fit angle to recognize sharp corners.
Use the Polyline Fit dialog box to change the angle setting until the image
tile resembles the angles you want to recognize as corners. Choose a setting
between 150 and 165 to recognize most corners.
