Creating Sweep Features | 159
To create a spiral 3D sweep
1 Make SWEEP3_1 visible.
2 Activate SWEEP3_1.
3 Make SWEEP2_1 invisible.
4 Zoom in to SWEEP3_1.
SWEEP3_1 contains a spiral helical path and a solved profile constrained to
the start of the path. The spiral path is elliptical.
5 Create the 3D sweep.
Context Menu In the graphics area, right-click and choose Sketched &
Work Features ➤ Sweep.
6 In the Sweep Feature dialog box, choose OK to accept the settings.
Your drawing should look like this.
Save your file.
Next, create a sweep using a 3D edge path.
