To import objects with links to an external database
1 Make sure you have created a link template (page 526) for the external
database, and that the database is
attached (page 209) and connected.
2 Click Insert tab Import panel Map Import .
3 In the Import dialog box (page 1711), click in a field in the Data column.

4 In the
Attribute Data dialog box (page 1699), select Add To Database Table.
5 Select the link template to use.
6 Select Create Link Only.
7 Click OK to close the Attribute Data dialog box.
When you import objects, the attribute data on the objects will be converted
to link data for the selected link template.
