Components of the Project Manager
The following explains which each of the components of the Project Manager
are used for.
1 Project Popup Menu. Lists all the open and recently opened projects.
Use the list to switch between open projects.
2 Publish Project Button. Displays and populates the Batch Publish
dialog box with all the layouts in the current project.
3 Project Tree View. Displays an organized list of all layouts in the
current project.
You can perform the following actions in the tree view:
Double-click a layout or view to open the associated drawing.
Right-click to access shortcut menus of the operations that are relevant
to the currently selected item. For more information, see
Project Tree

Drag items within the tree view to reorder them.
4 Details Panel. Displays the properties for the item selected in the
Project tree view. Click the Show/Hide Details button at the bottom of
the Project Manager to toggle the display of the Details panel.

5 Create Action Button. Displays a popup menu that allows you to
create a new project, or add layouts and groups to the current project.
New Layout. Displays the New Project Layout dialog box (page 974)
and creates a new layout in the project or under the selected group.
Add Existing Drawing. Displays the Add Layout from Drawing
dialog box and allows you to select a layout from an existing drawing
to add to the project.
New Group. Creates a new group.
Create New Project. Displays the
New Project dialog box (page
972) and creates a new project data (DST) file.
6 Remove Button. Removes the selected group or layout from the project.
Removing a layout does not delete the associated drawing file.
