Selected
Shade Selec ted shades only the selected objects in
thescenewhentheviewportissettoWireframe
or Other. When Smooth + Highlights is on, all
objects are shaded whether they are selected or not.
Shade S elected lets you work with a wireframe
scene and shade only the selected objects when
you want to visualize them more clearly. All other
objects in t he scene will appear in wireframe.

Procedure
To sh ade only selected obj ects in a scene:
1.
Choose Views menu > Shade S elected.
2. R ight-click the viewport label a nd choose
Wireframe.
3. Select the object.
Only the selected object is shaded.
Show Dependencies
Views menu > Show Dependencies
WhileyouareusingtheModifypanel,this
command toggles viewport highlighting of objects
dependent on the currently selected object.
When Show Dependencies is on and the Modif y
panel is active, any object that is dependent upon
the currently selected object in any way appears
magenta. This includes instances (page 3–957),
references (page 3–1002),andsharedmodifiers
(page 3–974). Default=off.
