Left: The object shows the default state.
Right:TheobjecthasMirrorOnXYPlaneturnedon.
XOffset—Lets you shift the horizontal position of
the section relative to the underlying spline.
Left: The section i s in the default position.
Right: The sec tion is offset –10 relative to the underlying
spline path (red).
YOffset—Lets you shift the vertical position of the
section relative to the underlying spline.
Left: The section i s in the default position.
Right: The sec tion is offset –10 relative to the underlying
spline path (red).
Note: TheXandYOffsetsletyoufinetunethe
section position while the Pivot Alignment settings
allow for a quick initial adjustment.
Angle—Allows you to rotate the section relative
to the plane on which the underlying spline is
locat ed.
Left: The section is in the defaul t position.
Right: The s ection is rotated 30 degrees.
Smooth Section—Provides a smooth surface
arou nd the per imeter of the sec tion that is swept
along the un derlying spline. Default=on.
Smooth Path—Pr ovides a smooth surface along
the length of the underlying spline. This type
ofsmoothingisusefulwhenforcurvedpaths.
Default=off.
Left: Smoothing the path
Right: Smoothing the section
Rear: Smoothing both path and section
Pivot Alignment—This is 2D grid that helps
you align the section to the underlying spline
path. Selecting one of the nine buttons shifts t he
section’s pivot around the spline path.
