Select group
The following filtering options are grouped
together to help you work on a particular task,
by preventing y ou from accidentally selecting the
wrong item in the viewports.
Vertices—Turn on for vertex selection.
You can rotate around selected vertices
using
Arc Rotate SubObject (page 3–787)
from the
Arc Rotate flyout (page 3–786)
.Youcanalsorotate
around a selected en velope as long as no vertices
are selected, as they have precedence.

to center on your selection. If you choose
Use Pivot

You can zoom on selected ver tices using
Zoom Extents Selected (page 3–783)
from the
Zoom Extents flyout. You can also zoom on an
envelope if no vertices are selected.

Shrink—Modifies the current vertex
selection by progressively subtr acting the
outermost ver tices f rom the selected object.
Hasnoeffectifalltheverticesfromanobject
are selected.

Grow—Modifies the current vertex selection
by progressively adding neighborhood vertices
of the selected object. You must start with
at least one vertex to be able to grow your
selection.
•
Ring—Expands the current vertex selection
to include all vertices part of parallel edges.
Note: Youmustselectatleast2verticestouse
the Ring selection.

Loop—Expands the current vertex selection
to include all vertices part of continuing edges.
