Morph Targets for Ex pression
Create as many expression targets as necessar y
for the character. Joy, sadness, surprise, ev il can
all have their own t argets. Depending on the
personality of the character, cer t ain targets, like
a terror target, may not be necessary. Targets
like nostr il flare, jaw-muscle bunching, temple
twitching can be effective to give a character an
edge. Each morph channel can contain a material
aswell:asyoumorphthebrowsup,abumpmap
can crease the forehead, for example.
Save time and create targets as the need arises; if
theaudiofileorsceneyouareworkingonrequires
a look of sur pr ise, create the "surprise" t arget while
the mo od of the scene is w ith you.
If the character has teeth, copy the teeth and the
base head to create a new target. The teeth act as a
guide to shape and position the lips.
